| Customer Reviews: does the period justice` February 12, 2002 sweet_jane_vu@hotmail.com (somewhere and anywhere) the cd starts off with the classic (and highly influentual) velvets typical sixties track waiting for the man. then it carries on into the spooky voiced nico goes through some high quality songs as i wanna be your boyfriend by the ramones and finishing on lou reed and john cale. brilliant. this cd has got the great tracks of the warhol movement. any indie kids must have!!
Pop music sucks! Pop art rocks! June 15, 2003 Featuring canonic artists from the Andy Warhol era (Blondie, The Velvet Underground and David Bowie to name a few), this CD is not only great to listen to, but is also educational. Want to know just who those bands are that the music press name check when discussing The Strokes et al? Look no further my friend - The Stooges? Check. Television? Check. We all wish we'd lived in New York during such a creative and frankly rocking period of history, but with this CD we can have a damn good pretend.
