this cd is amazing! i love all the music on it, especially "who i'd be" "Build a wall" and "this is our story"... absolutly amazing stuff, i can't wait to go to new york and see this or go see it when it comes to london. it's got loads of different styles of music, some of the wittiest lyrics i've heard since avenue q, i could listen to it again and again and again. 5 stars

I was lucky enough to see this in new york at Easter. It really is a great show with some fab music. I agree- "Who I'd Be" is a beautiiful song and the talent on this album is quite something :)

We have had no regrets whatsover about this purchase. It simply gets better with each listening; Tunefully appealing, but it is the libretto that takes the gold medal. Devilishly witty, succinct and every word clear as a bell from a cast who have to have been selectively bred for their parts. Press PLAY, lie back, close your eyes and you will be transported with delight. The best CD we have bought in years!

5 out of 5 stars Shrektastic musical   May 27, 2009

I love broadway and other musicals, and this is no exception its such catchy music each number gives a different mood to the song. It's good to see that there's also a bit of variety in the story and that there's difference from the film so you don't expect everything. It must of been such a hard show to adapt. Good Job great!

I love listening to a new musical for the first time. This will undoubtedly transfer to the West End in either 2009/10, and I can't wait to see it. The clips I have seen are stunning.

Some stand out songs are 'Big Bright Beautiful World' 'Travel Song' and 'Build A Wall' but in my book the best song of all is 'Who I'd Be' Beautifully sung be Brian D'Arcy James. If you like musical comedy then this is for you!
